Step 2 – Survey & proposal

Where possible, we’ll visit your site to take measurements and understand how the space is used. If required, we can also work remotely using plans, photos, and staff numbers.

You’ll then receive a clear, detailed proposal outlining the optimal layout and recommended solutions for your needs.

Case study: Commercial office consolidation project

A recent client approached us when merging three separate office locations into one larger space.

Before proposing any layouts, we first analysed how the business actually worked. This allowed us to design a solution that improved efficiency while reducing unnecessary costs.

Key outcomes included:

  • Replacing 160cm crescent desks with 160cm rectangular bench desking, sharing frames to reduce costs
  • Introducing colour-coordinated departments within the open-plan area
  • Using medium-height storage units to subtly separate teams
  • Redesigning meeting spaces to maximise usage:
  • The Managing Director’s large office retained, but with a foldaway wall so the meeting area could be shared when not in use
  • A rarely used boardroom converted into a multi-function space (boardroom, training room, or hot-desking area)
  • Adding three breakout and soft seating areas for informal meetings and downtime
  • Transforming the restaurant/canteen into a more flexible space with:
  • Standard and poseur-height tables
  • High stools and a bench-style touchdown area for short-term working
